About Us

The Reading Festival of Crime Writing, now in it's 4th year, is committed to bringing you the best local, national and international crime authors, and a lot more besides!

Primarily taking place at Reading Museum and Town Hall, but also including The Berkshire Berkshire Records Office and Reading Libraries, the festival offers an interesting and diverse range of author talks, panel discussions, children's events, free schools events, crime walks and much more. With the likes of Colin Dexter, MC Beaton, Val McDermid, Nicci French, Giles Brandreth and Charlie Higson appearing over the last couple of years.

T
his year promises to be bigger and better than ever, with an extra day added, indeed needed, to programme the wealth of crime writing related events - There's sure to be something for everyone!

Don't forget our pre-festival events - Tuesday 15 June sees Crème de la Crime present another fantastic Murder Mystery evening at our launch event at Reading Central Library.

And on Wednesday 15 September, Progress Theatre will be presenting the next in the series of Town Hall Murder Mystery Evenings. If you're a fan of amateur sleuthing, then theses events should not be missed.
